The LINK Project is a partnership between eight organizations, which provide assistance to the homeless people of Anchorage. The goal of the project is to assist homeless people to move into permanent housing and independent living through extended computerized case management and supportive services. The Municipality of Anchorage Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) administers the project within the Safety Links Program. Case management and supportive services are delivered by the Safety Links Program to homeless families and individuals, and under contract by Abused Women’s Aid in Crisis (AWAIC) to families and individuals who are homeless as a result of domestic violence.
The remaining partners, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, Bean's Café, Catholic Social Services (CSS)-Beyond Shelter Program, CSS-Brother Francis Shelter, CSS-Clare House, Salvation Army-McKinnell House and the DHHS's Safe City Program's Emergency Services act as information and referral agencies connecting individuals and families with case management services and housing.
The LINK Project is funded by grants form the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Alaska Housing Finance Corp. (AHFC).
